🚴 Why Choose a Phil Wood Seatpost Collar?

Phil Wood & Co. has been machining components in San Jose, California since 1971, making them one of the oldest American cycling component manufacturers still in business. Phil Wood’s reputation is built on parts that simply don’t fail, and their Seatpost Collar carries that same engineering into one of the most overlooked parts on your bike.

This seat post clamp is precision-machined from 6061 aluminium, paired with a stainless steel barrel nut and steel collar bolt and washer for a clamping setup that’s built to be tightened once and forgotten about. (Unless you’re admiring its aesthetic, of course.)

American-made, and backed by a company that’s been doing high-level component manufacturing for decades, this is the seat collar which will do its job perfectly a decade from now. It’s simple, secure, and built to last.

Pro Bike Mechanic’s Tip

Seat collar sizing is based on your frame’s seat tube outside diameter, not your seatpost diameter. Grab a set of calipers and measure the actual outside diameter of your seat tube before ordering, or check your frame manufacturer’s spec sheet. This is one measurement you definitely want to get right.
